The true story of the prosecution of British whistleblower Katherine Gun (Keira Knightley), a translator at the UK’s Government Communication Head Quarters who leaked information to the press about an illegal operation designed to push the UN Security Council into sanctioning the 2003 invasion of Iraq. It’s intercut with actual news footage (including UK and US leaders Tony Blair and George W. Bush), and intense performances from Matthew Goode, Matt Smith, Ralph Fiennes amongst other British cinema heavyweights. A powerful and vital film that examines whether Gun was a hero who risked it all to stop a war and save lives, or traitor to her country.
